Chronological age tells you how many birthdays someone has had. Biological age estimates how their body is aging.
Same chronological age, very different trajectories. A biological age assessment helps you:
Patients increasingly arrive with health data, wearable insights and questions about healthy aging.
SevenAge™ helps clinicians anchor that conversation in a validated, clinically meaningful measure — one that reflects the direction a patient's health is heading, not just whether today's values fall in range.
SevenAge™ is designed for use across clinical care, diagnostics and preventive health.
Offer patients a deeper understanding of their health.
Expand your diagnostic portfolio.
Turn health coaching into measurable progress.
“SevenAge™ gives me a validated biological age backed by peer-reviewed science, and a report with evidence-based recommendations I can stand behind. Now, aging can be measured, not merely estimated.”
Preventive care has lacked a single number patients understand and clinicians can act on. SevenAge™ gives you both — built from the blood panel your patients already get.
One number patients understand — turn “your labs look normal” into a plan they actually follow and re-test.
Detect shifts before standard markers flag risk — age acceleration shows up to 5 years before type 2 diabetes or chronic kidney disease.
Turn follow-ups into measurable progress. Add biological age to routine bloodwork and track change over time.
The model was developed from an initial candidate set of 34 blood biomarkers (see the study). After accounting for biomarker availability and cohort size, highly correlated markers were removed and the remaining biomarkers were iteratively evaluated. The final panel retained the smallest set before predictive performance began to decline: six routine blood biomarkers plus biological sex.
SevenAge™ extends those same biomarkers into an integrated biological age assessment designed for longitudinal preventive care.
“SevenAge™ derives a validated measure of biological ageing from a small number of routine biomarkers and, at the cohort level, shows associations with health and chronic disease, in some cases years before diagnosis.”
SevenAge™ uses HbA1c, HDL, triglycerides, ALT, albumin and creatinine — biomarkers already in your routine panel. No specialised assays. No new laboratory workflow.
One-time API or web portal integration.
Routine blood draw. Results flow through your existing workflow.

Every report combines biological age, the biomarker drivers behind it, and evidence-based insights to facilitate health discussions - all in one report.
A report patients understand and take home.
Patients don't leave with numbers. They leave with a plan.
SevenAge™ was developed using routine blood biomarkers and published in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio, 2025). The model was trained on 59,741 samples and validated in independent cohorts from US NHANES and the UK Biobank, demonstrating generalisability across three continents.
Validated in US NHANES & UK Biobank. Generalisable across three continents.
Each additional year of biological age acceleration was associated with a 3.7% higher hazard of mortality, independent of chronological age, sex and BMI (NHANES validation cohort).
In use today across hospital outpatient clinics, preventive GP practices and executive health programmes.

SevenAge™ uses six routine blood biomarkers, making it more accessible and cost-effective than epigenetic or multi-omic clocks while maintaining competitive accuracy among blood-based methods.
SevenAge™ uses seven inputs: six routine laboratory biomarkers including creatinine, HbA1c, ALT, albumin, HDL, and triglycerides, plus biological sex. These biomarkers represent three health domains, while biological sex serves as a covariate that calibrates the expected range of each marker. Seven inputs. One biological age.
Creatinine (renal), HbA1c, HDL and triglycerides (cardiometabolic), ALT and albumin (hepatic/inflammation) — three health domains in six markers. Biological sex is not a domain: it enters the model as a covariate, so each value is read against the right reference. The value of a clock lies in which markers it measures, not how many: six well-chosen markers spanning distinct domains capture the meaningful aging signal, matching a far larger panel. Because aging shows up as correlated change across these domains, more markers mostly add redundancy.
In the UK Biobank, individuals who were later clinically diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or chronic kidney disease already showed significantly elevated biological age acceleration up to five years before diagnosis. This pattern extended across multiple chronic conditions. For diabetes, the association remained even among individuals whose HbA1c was below the diagnostic threshold of 6.5% at the time of sampling. Because SevenAge™ integrates six biomarkers simultaneously, it can capture emerging patterns that may not be apparent from any single marker alone.
Largely, no. Unlike clocks that rely heavily on more variable inflammatory markers such as CRP, SevenAge™ uses stable clinical chemistry biomarkers. In the UK Biobank, individuals with influenza, pneumonia, or COVID-19 showed minimal median acceleration changes (−0.10 and +0.04 years), while biological age acceleration increased across CRP quintiles. This suggests that chronic inflammatory burden is captured, whereas transient immune activation has limited impact.
Two ways. A clinician enters six blood values plus biological sex into a secure web portal and gets the PDF report back in seconds. To automate, send the same values through our REST API and receive reports programmatically. Values adapt to your units — nothing to install.
Yes. For selected institutional partners, SevenAge™ is available as a white-label solution and can be integrated into your existing patient or client experience. Contact us to discuss branding and integration requirements.
No. SevenAge™ is not intended to be a diagnostic test and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or monitor any disease or medical condition. It estimates biological age from demographic information (i.e. age and biological sex) and six routine serum biomarkers and provides a report for informational and preventive health purposes only. The outputs do not replace clinical judgment or professional medical advice and should not be used as a basis for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
